Our Scene The Movie is a Feature-length Documentary on the history of Winnipeg's Hip Hop Dance community. This is your chance to see, learn, and experience how Hip Hop dance arrived and thrive in the prairies. The individuals first exposed to the New York and California dance cultures began experimenting here in the heart of Canada. The blood, sweat, tears and all the drama that came along with it. This film features over 2 decades of Winnipeg dance footage and a storyline driven forward by over 40 separate interviews. All are chopped into 90 minutes of educational, moving action directed by GeNie Baffoe, shot and edited by Quan Luong (filmmaker and colourist for Netflix & CBC).
